Q: how do I book and what do you need?
A: If you require immediate service please call us, but it is best to email us at sales@durhamlock.com  and provide details of your locksmith needs, including the type of service required (residential, commercial, automotive, etc.) your location and pictures of the doors you need serviced.

Q: Do you cut keys?
A: Yes we cut all types of keys, prices range from $3.50 to $15 for home and steel automotive / motorcycle keys, and $20 - $25 for high security keys such as ASSA and Mul-T-Lock.

Q: Do you cut car or vehicle keys?
A: Yes we cut car keys, if it is just a metal blade our prices start at $10-$35, if you require a transponder key, $95 If you have a fob with buttons it depends on make and model of your vehicle. See the automotive section of our website and fill out the form to get a price.

Q: What do you charge?
A: Our regular hours (8:30 am to 5:30 pm) within a 25km radius of the shop our minimum residential charge is $157.50 +HST and includes travel to you and your first 30 minutes of service, $125 / hour is charged after that.  Our minimum Commercial Charge is $220.00 + HST and includes travel and the first hour,  $125 / hour is charged after that.  Parts are extra.  If you would like an estimate please email details to sales@durhamlock.com

Q: What are your hours?
A: Our regular hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday Except stat holidays.

Q: Can I have service outside of your regular hours and what are your after hours rates?
A: We offer emergency after hours service, our rates for After Hours are $125 service call charge plus $170 / hour with a half-hour minimum for residential and a 1 hour minimum for commercial clients.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept cash, all major credit cards, Interac e-transfer and debit.   

Q: Can you do same day service or are you able to come today?
A: Depending on the service and our schedule, yes. Automotive key fobs need to be ordered and an appointment booked ahead of time, please call us at 905-728-9218 to speak with our scheduler.

Q: How much does a car fob cost?

Q: Can I supply my own FOB?
A: Yes, we can program your supplied FOB for $55 and cut the emergency blade for $35 however please note that as we did not supply the FOB we cannot guarantee it working for your vehicle and the attempt to program it is $55, regardless of success. There is also no warranty on customer supplied fobs. 
 
Q:I am locked out of my house or car, can you help me?
A: Yes! Local Home and Automotive Opening service is $157.50 for residential and $220 for commercial including the service call and labor in Oshawa during regular hours 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, call us at 905-728-9218 to schedule your call.
